General Requirements

Please provide a packed snack/lunch depending on the duration of your child's day. We have regulated refridgeration and reheating facilities. We recommend healthy food to suit your child’s needs. We do provide healthy snacks and a selection of cold and hot drinks as required.

Please provide a change of clothes which could be used with your permission in the event of an accident, e.g. toilet/spillage.

Please provide an apron for your child’s individual use during the day.

Please label all of your child's belongings.

We allow children to bring their own toys as research has shown (Winnicott, 1953) transitional objects from home to school/day care provides our children with a sense of belonging.

General Information

Footsteps Preschools/Early Years and School Age Services are privately owned and are members of the following organisations and offer the following schemes:

We provide a preschool plan at €18 per session/ morning for children who are not yet eligible for their ECCE free preschool year(s) entitlement.

Day Care (Monday-Friday Fulltime) €180 per week. Daily Rate €45. Hourly Rate €6

We are governed by the H.S.E and are inspected by Tusla, Pobal and the Dep of Education.

We adhere to and are guided by the principles of the Siolta and Aistear Frameworks.

Our Curriculum is developed using the High Scope approach.

We constantly update our skills by doing regular training in order to give the best possible service to your child.

We have a child safeguarding statement in place which we recommend all parents should take note of along with all of our policies.

All Staff are Garda vetted, and have a high level of First Aid Training which is updated regularly. In each service there is a trained First Aid Responder (FAR)

All Staff are highly qualified and hold a minimum 3rd level qualification and have several years of experience working with children in their early years. Each service has a qualified Leadership for Inclusion Coordinator(LINC) which allows for a fully inclusive environment for all children regardless of their background, culture or individual needs.

Our after school is mostly a child led service where the children state their wishes and needs, and as far as possible, in a warm caring environment, these are facilitated.

Our Promise to You
